Autodesk Sketchbook Software Overview

Autodesk Sketchbook

Overview

The sketchbook has various controls. It has the main probe, It's pretty hard, You can't get a much bigger probe than that there are quiet times. The reason for that is because they have kept the interface pretty clean and there are flyout menus. Where you don’t necessarily think there are going to be. When you open it up you get a screen opening up, Now If you want to change the size of the page, You can change by a tap on that screen, Then you get a new sketch.

In the bottom left-hand side, you can see, It has various brushes and pens and pencils and things. If you scroll up and down over there, You can see different types of tools on that top. You will be able to access the library of various brushes and pens. In this section we have the size control and the opacity, We have various controls for doing different things such as selections of areas on your screen. In your transform tool, we have a bucket of tools, on that box which gives you a different option.

There’s a curve and there are ellipses and curved rulers. You get a curved half ellipse. This is quite a clever option, So you can adjust this and get the curve that you want. The next one is quite interesting If you want to do some patterns. Because you have various ways of replication of design. So you have replicating from left to right top to bottom. You have replication in radial mode, Which you can adjust the number of replications that you get, And you can change where the start point is obvious. You have another radial mode, Where this deep strokes can be extended or stopped at the centre line, So depending on what mode you’re on that will go past the centre line. If you tap it and you can do the other one.

It won’t go past this canter line, it won’t duplicate anything past that it will stop it. The next one we have along here, This option gives you some shapes, Lines, Circles, Rectangles and squares. The next one is what I refer to in concepts as the warp or factor. It’s a slightly straightening up the line so if you draw a line and it’s not quite straight it will straighten it depending on how much of a strain you have on there, You can get it perfectly straight.
